Brunching with Bloggers at BJ's Woodland Hills
Updated: Mar 16, 2022

This past weekend many of us from lamommybloggertribe got the opportunity to get together to enjoy some delicious food and great conversation at bjswoodlandhills. It was the perfect setting for our Sunday Outing.
BJ's has been a favorite restaurant of mine for many years now, so I was excited when I learned our get together would be there. They have a large selection of food, drinks and its always such a fun atmosphere.
Appetizers
We were all excited to see familiar and new faces. Some of us finally meeting in person for the first time. Something else we were was HUNGRY! They brought us our menus and after reading all the great options they had, we decided to start by sharing the following appetizers:
Loaded Nachos with Tri Tip- consisted of crispy corn tortilla chips with housemade sriracha queso, melted Jack & cheddar cheese. Topped with housemade fresh guacamole, fire roasted salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream and jalapeños.
Best Beginning Appetizer Combo- Spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, avocado egg rolls and boneless wings (sriracha and root beer glaze).

These were the perfect starters to share with a group of 12. It gave us all the opportunity to taste several of the appetizers they have to offer. I would have to say that the Loaded Nachos with Tri Tip were my favorite. The housemade fresh guacamole was to die for and the Tri Tip was perfect, but don't take my word for it try it next time you visit.

Lighter Menu
Did you know that BJ's has a lighter menu? We had the chance to taste some of their lighter items menu and I was pleasantly surprised. I never really thought of Bj's as a place with lighter options but I was so happy to know they are helping their calorie-conscious customers stay on track. They call it their Enlightened Entrees. We got to try the following;
NEW ENLIGHTENED Blackened Chicken Zucchini- Blackened chicken breast, zucchini noodles, red onions, fire roasted red peppers with a creamy alfredo and San Marzano marinara sauce, sprinkled with green onions and parmesan cheese.|710 calories|
NEW ENLIGHTENED Lemon Herb Chicken and Asparagus Zucchini Noodles- Herb roasted chicken breast with asparagus, zucchini noodles, seasoned artichoke hearts with red onions, tomatoes in a creamy lemon herb sauce. Sprinkled with fresh basil and parmesan cheese. |640 calories|
ENLIGHTENED Kale Brussel Salad- Baby kale with roasted brussels sprouts, crispy romance, chopped red onions, fresh blueberries, sweet red grapes, dried cranberries with goat cheese crumbles, chopped cucumbers, candied pecans, toasted pepitas with a strawberry vinaigrette |440 calories|
Let me tell you, I was able to sample all 3 and I would of never guessed these were part of the lighter menu. You'll also be able to find vegetarian options, gluten fee meals, and a wide variety of meals for those with food allergies or sensitivities. There are also lots of other options on the lighter menu that we did not get to taste but I will definitely be tasing some more next time I visit.

Entrees
Now the lighter menu was delicious but If you are not looking to count calories on the particular day you visit, they can help you with that too! We indulged a little with the following;
Baby Back Pork Ribs- A full rack of slow roasted overnight baby back ribs seasoned with Big Poppa Smokers' Sweet Money champion rub, then slathered with BJ's Peppered BBQ Sauce and a choice of 2 signature sides.
NEW Bistro Burger- Fire grilled beef patty with applewood smoked bacon with caramelized onions, fresh sweet tomatoes, spinach, pickled red onions, topped with goat cheese crumbles with roasted garlic aioli served on a parker house bun and served with fries.
Im a huge burger fan and let me tell you this burger was amazing. The combinations of smoked bacon, caramelized onion and goat cheese crumbles was amazing. I shared this burger but could have easily ate it all myself.
Drinks
I was brunching and I was out with friends so decided to get an adult beverage. I went with the Strawberry Mojito and it was great. It was as delicious as it looks and so refreshing. They also have a large selection of beers and other cocktails to choose from but I was very happy with my choice.

Kids Menu
As a mom, you didn't think I wasn't going to talk about the kids menu now did you? Aside from the lighter menu for the adults did you know they also carry healthier options for the kiddos? Of course they carry the usual kids menu items like mini corn dogs and chicken nuggets, but they also have grilled items for the kiddos to enjoy. I got to taste their kids broiled shrimp plate with a dipping sauce and a side of fruit and their kids chicken breast. This is definitely something Alexia would enjoy as well.

It was a Sunday Funday with my LA Mommy Blogger Tribe...like I knew it would be. It was so encouraging to get together with such a great group of ladies willing to share all their knowledge but add some delicious food and its just a whole other level of awesomeness. Thank you so much BJ's Woodland Hills for the food and amazing service.

This is the perfect place to bring the whole family, a large group of friends, or even coworkers. You don't all have to agree on what to eat but thats not a problem because there is something here for everyone to enjoy. Make sure you pay Bj's in Woodland Hills a visit next time you are in the area and be ready for an extraordinary experience.
Talk to you later.
