Yesterday we were invited to an exclusive screening of Disney Channel newest series Hamster & Gretel and I am so excited to give you a review of this family friendly show.
It is created by iconic Phineas & Ferb Co-creator Dan Povernmire and it is sure to be a hit! We screened the first episode at Disney's animation building and it had both kiddos and grown ups laughing. You know it's a good family show when all members of the family are laughing.
Without giving too many spoilers the series follows siblings Gretel, overprotective older brother Kevin, and the un-impressed and everyones favorite character, Gretels pet hamster! The siblings are suppose to be given super powers by space aliens but big brothers Kevin powers accidentally are given to Hamster to form the duo "Hamster and Gretel" Now Kevin must learn how to help Hamster and Gretel save the city without having powers himself.
The show really touches on siblings relationships and their love for one another despite their age difference. Big brother Kevin must learn how to deal with little sister Gretel's new superhero role and his part in the new superhero duo. The series is funny, full of action and you are bound to fall in love with the characters. Shhh done tell anyone but Hamster is my favorite and you'll see why. There's a fun and surprise twist at the end of the first episode you do not want to miss. We cant wait to watch the rest of the season!
This all new Hamster and Gretel series airs on Disney Channel on Friday August 12, 2022 and you do not want to miss it. Take a peek at the trailer down below
In addition to the fun screening we got to meet series creator Dan Povernmire and his daughter Meli who is the voice of Gretel. He even gave us a drawing tutorial and we had a fun Q&A. Thank you Disney Channel and Kristin Cruz for this wonderful invite.
