Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel Review- Amazing Stay In Los Angeles, CA
Updated: Feb 19
We love exploring local and far destinations and for my birthday weekend we decided to have an overnight stay in the LA area. We wanted to stay in a beautiful, serene, and perfectly located hotel and that's exactly what we found! Luxe Sunset Boulevard was all of this and more. Whether you are looking for a fun staycations or traveling from afar, I want to share with you why we found Luxe Sunset Boulevard to be the perfect Boutique Hotel for all our getaway needs.
Location, location, location! This beautiful hotel is situated at the crossroads of Brentwood and Bel-Air. It's surrounded by beautiful lush greenery with exceptional and tranquil decor. It's a quiet and tranquil oasis yet provides easy access to popular local attractions and events. Perfect locations to unwind before or after a day full of fun in the surrounding area. It's within minutes of the UCLA campus, J. Paul Getty Museum and Getty Villa. You can explore several nearby hikes, head out to the beach or take a quick drive to hit the ever so popular Rodeo Drive like we did. Rather not drive and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer? They offer tons of activities that I'll mention down below.
Service and Amenities
A Hotel can have all the amenities in the world but if the service is not great rest assured we would not visit again. Happy to report we will definitely be visiting Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel again because their service and attention to detail from the moment we arrived was exceptional. Everyone was very friendly, from the person at the check in desk to the waiter at the restaurant. Everyone had a smile on their face and were genuinely happy to answer our questions. My 8 years old daughter even mentioned how everyone was so nice from the moment we arrived. Kids can be very oblivious to these sort of things, so the fact that she noticed definitely says something. Not only were we impressed with their friendliness and service but they had lots of fun and unique hotel amenities like:
Outdoor heated pool
At no additional cost rent their Luxe Signature Bikes to explore the neighborhood (only adult bikes available. If bringing kids bring their own bike for a family ride)
Monthly Drive-In movie nights
Bonfire at sunset
Outdoor gym and classes
The room design was perfect! Bright, airy, and simple with beautiful beach decor that tied beautifully with their lush green outdoor set up and their tranquil atmosphere. Aside from being a beautiful and clean room they had all the amenities we needed like: a coffee machine (coffee and tea provided), complimentary Wi-Fi, Flat-screen TV, on demand movies, entertainment tablets, Luxe signature bathrobes, bath amenities, hairdryer, iron and in room safe.
The bed was comfy with soft sheets and we had a great nights rest. Not to mention, we had a great little set up right outside our patio door perfect for enjoying an evening drink or that first cup of coffee in the morning like I did.
Cleanliness & Safety
This has always been a very important factor but as of last year it's definitely climbed to the top of the list. Our room was immaculate, very well taken care of, as was the rest of the property. Every single staff member and guest were wearing and are required to wear a mask while in public areas and high touch objects are cleaned bi-hourly. If you don't have a mask or forget one, theres no need to worry as they have mask and gloves available to all guest during their stay. They also offer curbside check in and contactless digital checkout to reduce time in public areas.
An onsite restaurant is always a huge plus specially when it's as good as SIROCCO was. The restaurant highlighting California's abundance of fresh seafood, meat and produce and they do it very well. It's perfectly situated in a beautiful outdoor area with a beautiful wall fountain, and beautiful lights that lights up the outdoor restaurant at night. We had an early dinner and as the night progressed it did get chilly but they had several outdoor patio heaters that kept us warm.
On top of the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere the service was also great! Here are pictures of what we enjoyed for dinner and dessert!
My little family and I all agreed that we loved our stay at Luxe and definitely would love to visit again. We highly recommend this hotel next time you are in town to experience all they have to offer.
