We went up to Joshua Tree National Park for the first time for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. Of course the park was breathtaking and everything we had hoped for, but our little home away from home definitely contributed to our amazing getaway. I'm going to say it...I'm Picky! I need the place where I'm resting at the end of the night to be 2 things; super clean and well taken care of. Now I'm not saying I need a place to be fancy or have over the top amenities, but if I'm on vacation I do want to be comfortable and be in a clean well functioning space. Lucky for us we found this and more! I love a good recommendation! I'm going to share with you the perfect home to stay at when visiting Joshua Tree National Park or any of its surrounding areas.
Setting up our stay
We knew we wanted to visit Joshua Tree National Park, now the big questions was where to stay. We randomly went on Airbnb and started searching for a last minute home to stay at. Having had a successful booking our first time we were hoping for the same this time around and that's exactly what we got.
We found this beautiful desert Oasis In Landers just 30 minutes from the main entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. From the moment I saw the pictures I knew this was the place and the pictures on the site matched perfectly with what we got.
It is a beautiful adobe-style house that sits on 2 acres of pristine desert land. It has amazing views of the mountains, gorgeous sunsets and breathtaking sunrises. And at night, the stars looked amazing! The property is secluded and definitely give us lots of privacy. To get to the property we had to drive on a well maintained dirt road from the main highway, which definitely added to the experience. The only neighbor was to our right side of the house and was a good distance away, which really added to the experience of being out in the desert. Safety was not a concern at all. There is fencing all around the house and there is a Ring doorbell security camera located next to the front of the front door facing out which made us feel safe and at ease.
The home is beautiful! It sleeps 4 guest with 2 bedrooms, 2 beds, 1 bath and a full-sized futon bed. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the sheets so soft and silky.
The kitchen is spacious with everything you need to cook up a meal. The whole house was spotless, all appliances were working, the decor all through out was very beautiful. It was the little details in the decor that really made the whole place feel very warm, cozy and welcoming.
Activities & Amenities On Property
Ok so the home was beautiful, clean, comfortable but there was so much more. Things we didn't even know we wanted but added so much more to our stay. The house is in a 2 acre fenced lot with lots of things to enjoy outdoors. The property has 2 hammocks which we enjoyed in the mornings and evening before the sun went down. They have a BBQ grill which was perfect for grilling some burgers after a day of hiking at Joshua Tree. They even have a beautiful campfire set up which we used to make s'mores at night while we enjoyed the sky full of stars. Another fun thing included was an outdoor set up for a game of horseshoes...wow those things are heavier to throw than I thought, but so fun trying. Indoors we had all the amenities we needed and more!
Booking
Booking was a breeze! As I mentioned we booked on Airbnb and our host Gina was amazing! She answered all our questions before we booked, was able to accommodate a date change and was very easy to work with. The price per night was a bargain for everything this property offers. I would highly recommend this location to anyone coming out to Joshua Tree, Pioneer Town or simply for a beautiful and relaxing weekend in the desert.
