Tanaka Farms Farm-To-Table Hilltop Luncheons are back and we had the pleasure of attending our very first luncheon for a St Patricks Day Celebration. Did you know Tanaka Farms offered these Hilltop Luncheons? It made for a fun, delicious, and beautiful outing. If you are looking for a unique experience the whole family can enjoy, this is absolutely it. I'm actually shocked I had not previously attended one before! Keep reading to learn the details and even book your next farm to table hilltop luncheon with Tanaka Farms.
What Is A Farm To Table Hilltop Luncheon
To celebrate some holidays and special occasions, Tanaka Farms offers Farm-To-Table Hilltop Luncheons. All of their luncheons are all-you-can-eat buffet style service...talk about getting your moneys worth. We are talking food, drinks, and even dessert! The views from the Hilltop venue offers gorgeous views of the farm (and beyond!) with fun activities for all.
How It Works
It's easy really! First and foremost you need to make reservations ahead of time, which you can make online as soon as the tickets are released. You can check here ! Once you have your reservations and receive your confirmation email you are set for your visit. On Luncheon date, we checked in at the check-in desk by the Produce Market Stand. From there, a tractor pulled wagon transported us to the hilltop while we took in the view of the farm along the way. On arrival we were guided by a Tanaka Farms friendly employee to our event area.
Our St Patricks Day Luncheon
Once up top, we found a seat and hit the buffet! Their friendly Tanaka Farms employees served us an amazing lunch. The whole area was very spacious with a large open tent and lots of open air seating. It was all decorated very festive with family style seating and a beautiful photo op wall. After our delicious Irish lunch, we enjoyed some games on the lush lawn. It was perfect for Alexia to run and play after a delicious hefty meal. Included in our luncheon was the option to paint our very own flower pot and finish by planting some sunflower seeds in our newly decorated pots. There was definitely not a lack of fun things to do!
To give you an idea of future luncheons here is what we had during our St Patricks day Luncheon. First seating available ranged from 10am to last seating at 2pm. We went with a 1pm seating.
Here is what our extensive and delicious buffet menu consisted of:
Corned Beef, Bangers & Mash, Veggie Bangers & Mash*, Fire Grilled Chicken, California Colcannon*, Cabbage*, Carrots*, Potatoes*, Broccoli Salad, Kale & Strawberry Salad*, Irish Soda Bread, Lime-Ade, Iced-Tea, Water, Coffee, and dessert (TBA).
*Prepared with vegan ingredients in a shared kitchen.
At the end we were even able to hike down a small hill for some blackberry picking! From what a staff member informed us, this is not always included but if they have a certain fruit in season, it's possible for an opportunity like this to be included.
