Picnic Quarantine Edition
Updated: Aug 13, 2020

Last weekend a small group of moms from The Mommy Blogger Tribe got together at Irvine Regional Park for some much needed girl time. We knew we wanted to stay safe so we made sure to take all the precautions needed which I'll discuss at the end of this post. Although it was a picnic like no other due to Covid, we still managed to have an amazing time thanks to these great ladies and sponsors.
BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Woodland Hills We have always had a great experience with BJ's and this time was no exception. They were generous enough to host our picnic with some of their delicious sandwiches, salads, and even items from the kids menu. Everything was fresh and individually packaged for our safety. If you are looking to have a picnic like we did I highly recommend them! They are also open for restaurant Dine-in and have the most beautiful outdoor seating area. I will share some pictures down below as well as list some of the items we had. These items were perfect for an outdoor picnic.
Enlightened Kale and Roasted Brussels Salad
Lettuce Blend Salad
Turkey Corn Dogs served with either fries
Turkey club sandwich
Mediterranean chicken sandwich
California veggie sandwich
Italian sandwich

Venice Beach Beverage
Right now more than ever I am focusing on what I put in my body. That's why these delicious all natural organic iced teas with 100% daily vitamins are perfect! They have 5 different flavors: Ginger, Ginger and Turmeric, Peach, Black Cherry, and Lemon.
I had lemon and black cherry and they were both so good specially on a hot summer day. It was so nice to drink something so good and refreshing and still know it has 100% of the daily vitamins your body needs. Childrens Art Design Studio
This is a mom owned small business on Etsy belonging to our Mommy blogger founder Naza Holliman. She provided all of us with these lightweight mask that said The Mommy Blogger Tribe to keep us all safe and comfortable during our picnic. Check out her Etsy shop to see all the personalized goodies you can get. https://www.etsy.com/shop/childrensartdesign
Wine Me Up Candles
These beautiful candles were gifted to us by this family owned small business local to Orange County. They cut and sand down the upcycled bottles themselves. They pour the candles using 100% soy wax and cotton wicks for a clean burn. They offer custom orders using bottles that have sentimental meaning to customers and scents are chosen from their list. Local porch delivery and porch pick up is available. These candles smelled amazing as soon as I opened them from their packaging and make cute and personalized gifts. How To Have A Safe Picnic
Although we were very eager to get together we wanted to make sure everyone stayed safe. Here are a couple of things the group did during our picnic to stay safe and comfortable. I encourage you to take these measures if you plan to have any sort of interaction with friends/family or anytime you are around other people.
We made sure our gathering was in an outdoor location and not around other people
Everyone brought their own blanket to sit on
Blankets were spaced 6 feet apart
Everyone wore their masks specially when not 6 feet apart, like for pictures
Food was individually packaged
Hand sanitizer was available
Nothing but air hugs and waves
Things are definitely different but with a little extra effort and a positive attitude there are still ways to enjoy the outdoors while staying safe. If you found this to be an enjoyable read, feel free to leave me a comment, like this post, share or pin it.
Talk to you later!
