We Had A Sweet Time Baking at Munchkin Kitchen
Do you have a kiddo interested in always helping out in the kitchen like I do? Well if you do I have the perfect place for you to visit.
If you have been following me for a while you probably already know I am always looking for fun places to visit, so when I learned about Munchkin Kitchen I knew we had to check it out. They were conveniently having their first parent and me class so I immediately knew this was something we had to do.

Munchkin Kitchen started 2 months ago by owner and baker Deniz. She is a beautiful and kind mother of a 18 month old who has a love for baking and teaching kiddos the art of baking and does an incredible job doing so.
The classes take place in a small but very clean kitchen located inside Le Petit Gan International Preschool. We started our baking adventure by turning on some music, washing our hands and putting on our cute and very official baker aprons. What we baked you ask? First thing we baked were strawberry sprinkle donuts. We even made our very own glaze from scratch! The second dessert we made was a chocolate fudge cake. Both were delicious but that chocolate fudge cake was gooey amazingness. We came home with both recipes and definitely plan to bake these goodies again. Alexia already has plans to bake daddy the fudge cake for his birthday coming up.
Here we are putting our new skills to the test!
I loved that both recipes are easy enough to replicate at home and easy enough for the kiddos to follow along. Deniz was very willing to help and took her time with the kiddos, not once making us feel rushed. Truly felt like we were baking at home with friends.
Now let me show you our final results!
Pretty right? They were as yummy as they are pretty!
During the class not only did we have fun but Alexia learned the appropriate way to measure and level flour, how to measure liquids, and how to whisk dry ingredients into liquids just to name a few things. She left the kitchen very excited to tell daddy all about what she baked and even more excited to tell him she had saved some baked goodies for him. P.S. He loved them!
Classes are for kiddos ages 7-12 years of age. Each class can accommodate up to 10 kiddos unless its a parent and me then it accommodates 5 kids and 5 parents. Classes last around 75 minutes and the kiddos normally bake anywhere from 2 to 3 recipes that they then enjoy at the end of class. There are different class themes so take a look at the calendar to see what class your kiddos would be most interested in. Here is the upcoming class schedule. Most classes are $75 per seat and parent and me classes are $85 per duo.
If you're interested in a birthday party or private event they can also set that up for you. They offer private events for kids of all ages and all kinds of themes. The maximum amount of guest is usually 15 kiddos but you can contact them directly to accommodate your kiddos dream party. Contact here
Do I recommend these classes? I most certainly do! It was a fun experience, we enjoyed some yummy treats and got to make some fun memories together in the kitchen. It's perfect to spend some quality time with your kiddo and to encourage their love for baking. Have a niece or grandchild who's birthday is coming up? Instead of buying them toys, gift them an experience they are sure to remember. Maybe if you're lucky they will thank you with a baked goodie!
